Jane will have a stand at the show where she will be displaying and selling her dolls including the new resin range and at least one never before seen doll tableau. She will also be demonstrating paper clay sculpting in advance of her October course.

How to make your own doll with doll artist Jane Davies

Jane Davies will be teaching a three day course, giving participants the skills they need to create their own dolls house doll.
The students will sculpt a child's head in Paperclay and Jane will reveal her unique methods to ensure the form and proportions of the heads are correct whilst reflecting the individual vision and creativity of each student. The main aim of the workshop is to complete the sculpture but there will be written instructions, demonstrations and optional extras available to enable the average craftsperson to complete the doll at home.
The course will run from late morning on Friday 28th October and will finish mid afternoon on Sunday 30th October 2011. All tools, materials and food are included in the course fee of £220 per person. Places are strictly limited.
Participants will be taught in a listed cottage situated in a picturesque village at the foot of the South Downs in West Sussex. There are a good range of accommodation options available within walking distance from private B&B to the Hilton Hotel Arundel with its golf course and spa. The village of Walberton is ideally situated between the sea and the South Downs and there are many activities nearby for companions not participating in the course, especially in the nearby cathedral cities of Arundel and Chichester.
